Updates :)

Hi, its been quite some time since I updated this blog again. Yes, guzheng lessons are still available, so some updates on my profile today...

Since 2010 I have been teaching private guzheng lessons for students from as young as age 4 to 30plus years old. It has become part of my profession on top of my main role as a student.

Yes lately I introduced trial sessions, they are charged at standard price of $40 regardless of which grade the student is in, materials will be provided.

If you decided that you would like to take up proper lessons, will be charged at $50/lesson for beginners. Each lesson lasts 45mins. Housecall are only done on case by case basis, but there is also a standard extra charge of $40. This is also provided that the student have at least a guzheng at home, which means that trial lessons and that first month or so when you haven't get a guzheng, you may like to have lessons at my house instead, and I think it will be more progressive as I have 2 guzhengs at home.

I don't have a fixed schedule, but I put most of my students on sunday mornings. Housecalls are mostly on weekday evenings which I will make my way down after school ends at about 6pm. Schedule is much flexible, we can always change the days if anything crops up yup.

Some tips on whether or not you should invest on a guzheng or not, I do suggest you to give yourself or your child a month at least, about 4 lessons, to think of whether this is what you want. I've worked with a lot of different students all these years, and not say children, I do have adult learners who like guzheng very much, bought a guzheng at about $800, plus all the other assessories, yet quit after a month and get me to help them sell their guzheng. As you should know also, 2nd hands are not going to get back the initial price you paid for that new guzheng. So yeap having said all this, give a bit of time to try and understand yourself :)

As usual, do contact me via email: retard_dude93@hotmail.com OR regina_pung@hotmail.com, I will do my best to give you a reply asap when I can.

So, a bit more about what I have been doing lately, I am in my second year first sem of my course--Diploma in Occupational Therapy at NYP. That is also how I keep myself really busy with schoolwork and projects during weekdays and sometimes weekends, so hope that you do understand why I need the flexible lesson timings now.

I had also performed duet with my younger sis at a private D&D reception function at Fort Canning Hotel not long ago. It was really an experience different from the past and I do enjoy it a lot as it was my first performance with my younger sis. So yup some backstage photos I can share:)
