Hi all,

Its been some time since I came back to this blog. Sorry had been busy for some time since my school started. Please email me at retard_dude93@hotmail.com if you would like to enquire about anything, I check my mail a few times in a day:D

Ok just to update you about how I am now, yup I alrdy got my alevel results, school started, not in Uni, but in poly. Studying diploma in Occupational Therapy in Nanyang Poly now, its an alevel course(which means u hv to go through the pain of alevels b4 being eligible for registration for e course) So yup currently year 1 sem 2, doing so so but YES, im still teaching private guzheng lessons for my students. (and intaking more interested students) However there will be some changes as compared to previous posts, my apologies that my course needs ALOT of time, lessons starting 9am-6pm usually, thats why I need to have guzheng classes on weekends(preferably sunday). In addition, classes will be held at my house in Sengkang, I do not have much time for travelling to my students' house lately.

Rates (for reference)
$50/lesson---- Beginners
$45 per tuning service (excluding price of additional strings added)
*Feel free to email me if any enquiries:)

Just to share more. Although a grade 8 cert may not be enough for some, but having to teach guzheng as a private teacher for about 3 years, I have had students from age 5-30plus, I have certainly gained alot of experiences. Interest will be something that takes one to learn guzheng and not a music background I should say. My student have achieved her distinction for grade 2 last year, and she's taking grade 3 just 4 days later:) My style of teaching takes strong emphasis on getting the foundations right and that I usually spend more time and effort on it for grade 1 and 2. I like to get my students exposed to the feelings of music right from the start, so that it not only enables them to play the song in a nicer tone, but also by learning the right way of incorporating feelings into songs, it becomes a platform for them to start practicing this skill that is much required in the higher grade. Practice makes perfect! by the time it is required, it would have become rather simple.

thats abt it,
cheers,
Regina
